Real-Time Chat 💬 Guidelines + How to Use

Starting today, you can have real-time conversations by using our new chat channels here on the forum! :tada:

You can access chat now by clicking the :speech_balloon: in the top right of the header.

:bangbang: If you have a question, please create a forum post rather than posting in chat. You are more likely to get an answer on a forum post, and it helps future users looking for an answer to the same question

The Camunda forum is an incredible resource to our community, where you help each other with troubleshooting and sharing use cases. The forum allows for archived, searchable conversations and solutions, which has a domino effect, helping others with the same questions in the long term.

Over and over again, we’ve heard from our community members that the connections you make with others are at the heart of the Camunda community. I couldn’t agree more! In the spirit of fostering these connections, Discourse Chat will allow for more open, spontaneous conversations, as well as one-on-one chats.

And if a conversation grows too large for the chat, it’s easy to pivot to a forum post! You can quote from the chat in a forum post, or link a forum post in a chat message, like this

Welcome to the Camunda 8 chat! :c8:

For now, we have two channels, Camunda 7 Discussions and Camunda 8 Discussions. Please let us know what you think and what you would like to see next! Chat with you soon

Chat Guidelines

  1. If you have a question, please create a forum post rather than posting in chat. You are more likely to get an answer on a forum post, and it helps future users looking for an answer to the same question
  2. Please do not spam folks in private messages or in the chat channels. This includes excessive tagging.
  3. Do not message Camunda employees with questions unless they have told you to do so. See guideline #1 for more information.
  4. As always, follow our Code of Conduct and keep in mind our Community Values.
