We have an application where we only ever have 2 users that will handle tasks. They find it annoying that they first have to claim the task before being able to complete it. They also don’t care about claiming tasks because they will never both work on tasks at the same time.
How could I solve this?
My first idea is adding a tasklist plugin that autoclaims the task once the user clicks on the task in the list of available tasks. Currently I don’t see how to handle this and perhaps there are better ways to make sure they can complete tasks regardless of claiming it first.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jan
Hello @Jan_Bols ,
this could be handled in the process diagram as a user task has a field assignee.
By setting this to a static value or an expression.
I hope this helps

Hi @jonathan.lukas , thank you for the reply. The problem is that the assignee is unknown at the time of task creation. So they cannot be assigned to a certain user. Tasks are created, but any of the 2 users can complete it. They just don’t want to bother with claiming the task and complete it without first having to claim it.
Best regards,
Jan
Hello @Jan_Bols ,
the api does not enforce claiming of a task. Theoretically, they could be completed without claiming.
The Camunda webapp enforces task claiming and I am not sure whether this is configurable.
