Getting started

Hello Forum.

Apologies if this sounds stupid.
I’ve just discovered Camunda but I’ve gotten stuck at the very first point -Deployment.

I’m getting this error when I run start-camunda.bat

Neither the JAVA_HOME nor the JRE_HOME environment variable is defined
At least one of these environment variable is needed to run this program
C:\Users<me>\Desktop\camunda-bpm-tomcat-7.5.0\server\apache-tomcat-8.0.24\bin

I have java set up correctly and have other java applications running without issues.

Kindly assist.

Sounds like you need to create an environment variable for your java Home.
