Slow deploy of the business process

Hello!

I have two docker containers on the same computer. One is built on camunda community 7.9 and another on camunda 7.20. I have deployed the same business process on groovy and noticed in logs that it has different deploy time:

on 7.9
20-Jan-2024 18:53:46.873 INFO [main] org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployWAR Deploying web application archive [/camunda/webapps/test-0.1.war]
20-Jan-2024 18:53:48.496 INFO [main] org.camunda.commons.logging.BaseLogger.logInfo ENGINE-07015 Detected @ProcessApplication class ‘org.camunda.bpm.eutelsat.EutelsatPartnerCreateApplication’
…

on 7.20:
20-Jan-2024 18:41:41.264 INFO [main] org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployWAR Deploying web application archive [/camunda/webapps/test-0.1.war]
2024-01-20 18:41:47.797 INFO org.camunda.bpm.application - ENGINE-07015 Detected @ProcessApplication class ‘org.camunda.bpm.eutelsat.EutelsatPartnerCreateApplication’

20-Jan-2024 18:41:47.915 INFO [main] org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployWAR Deployment of web application archive [/camunda/webapps/test-0.1.war] has finished in [6,651] ms

Would you please tell me why deployment time so different? Can I somehow reduce this time on 7.20?

Can anyone explain me this situation?

Can anyone help me?

Are you using same JDK to test both the versions?

If you would like to test different versions, please do check supported versions in the Camunda documentation. Here is the link:

Camunda 7.9 uses JDK 8, Camunda 7.20 uses JDK 11/17. You did not share the JDK details, we won’t be able to derive any information.

Please do install the supported versions required by Camunda and do share the details.

Hello, thanks for your attention. I was built the business process with JDK8 and deploy it in 7.9 and 7.20. Is it wrong? Also I have been noticed that processes on kotlin deployed more slowly than on groovy, is it correct?

It may work, but in order to compare, you should check the software with supported JDK.

Using outdated JDK with Camunda 7.20 and comparing the result is not ideal. I do not know Kotlin, not mentioned in the Supported Environment, would not comment on Kotlin query.
