Styling bpmn:documentation

Context: Provide detailed instructions on a User Task, specifically under the bpmn:documentation element.

Question: are there options to style the element? It would be cool if I can use markdown syntax for example.

I would expect not.
From the BPMN Spec

All BPMN elements that inherit from the BaseElement will have the capability, through the Documentation element, to have one (1) or more text descriptions of that element.

Note that it says “text description”
The spec is somewhat unclear, as it suggests that there’s a way to allow something other than MIME text/plain, but then goes on to say:

In the BPMN schema, the tDocumentation complexType does not contain a text attribute or element. Instead, the documentation text is expected to appear in the body of the documentation element.

Thanks to your info, @GotnOGuts, I was forced to look for an alternative solution and realized that the CamundaForm’s Text field supports basic Markdown and HTML format. Can’t do fancy styling but it serves the needs for now.
