Why irreversible expanded sub-process in version 3.7?

Hello,

I have a BPMN model with sub processes (e.g. created in Signavio). I was able to open it successfully in Camunda Modeler v3.7. Then I expanded the sub-process, which worked, however, the “expanded sub process cannot collapse again”. Then I realized that before you expand the sub-process, it says “not reversible”.

In previous versions, although there were glitches which I believe was resolved, you can collapse/expand the sub-processes. Why is version 3.7 designed like this? Please advise. Thank you.

As of version 3.5 of the Camunda Modeler, collapsing sub-processes is not possible. You can read about the reasoning behind it in the accompanying blog post: https://blog.camunda.com/post/2019/11/camunda-modeler-3.5.0-released-2/
