Hey,
I was wondering if there was a way to bulk export all of my models form a camunda 8 project? I am aware that you can export individual models, but I was hoping there may be a more efficient way of doing this?
Cheers,
Guy

Hello @gwest ,
not directly. In theory, this could be solved by leveraging the Web Modeler REST API.
https://modeler.cloud.camunda.io/swagger-ui/index.html#/
If you require this as function in the UI, I can check whether there is already something in the making.
Jonathan
Could you please check? It will be very cumbersome to have to export over 100+ models individually. Plus most models are live artifacts (e.g. constantly changing).
Hello @gwest ,
I checked for you.
In the meantime, I would like to know what the purpose should be? If the web modeler contains living artefacts, what would be the benefit of replicating them?
Jonathan
The purpose of the bulk export would be to have a backup. Although some model are live not all will be.
The plan would be to do exports weekly incase we decide to cancel our license or if something goes wrong.
Hello @gwest ,
I see. In fact, the Web Modeler does not require a paid license to have the basic functionalities, so canceling your license would not make you lose your models.
Also, as this is enterprise software, we are keeping the data very secure to prevent possible loss.
However, I understand your reasons to go for a self-managed backup.
Jonathan
PS: There is a feature request for a bulk export, already open, but in the backlog.
Is there a way I can see the request roadmap?
Hello @gwest ,
there is a public roadmap available here:
If you need a more fine-grained roadmap, please get in touch with your CSM to create a roadmap presentation meeting.
