I was wondering what the best practices or requirements are for running an SIT env and Prod env in the SaaS offering. Do I need seperate accounts, or is it a matter of having multiple clusters, or do we just manage it with different named processes (i.e. process-sit, process-prod)? I am currently running under the SaaS trial period to test the functionality and integration with our current system (Azure hosted).
In general, I’d recommend having individual clusters for testing and production use. This reduces the risk of accidentally messing up your production environment, and I consider it a best practice.
If I recall correctly, Camunda’s licensing only charges you for the production setup (and in case of SaaS, costs for hosting your clusters). If you want to know details about the costs, consider contacting the Camunda team regarding an enterprise license:
