Creating Optimize backups using the ES API

Hi. I want to create Optimize backups and I know I can use the Optimize backup API to do so.

However, I would like to use the Elasticsearch API instead. Are there any drawbacks to using the ES API to manage snapshots?

Hi,

You sure can use Elastic Search. There are no definite drawbacks.
Optimize API allows to organize the snapshots and there are benefits when in use with Camunda 8.
