Hi Community,
BPMN is without doubt an amazing instrument for visualizing and managing daily routine schemas. But when combined with Camunda BPMS, it becomes truly exciting — processes come to life.
In healthcare, we already have the brilliant and sophisticated HL7 FHIR standard, which describes the domain at a very deep level. What we’re missing, however, is a simple and elegant modeling notation like BPMN.
That’s why we’re building SOS (originally “Second Opinion Service”) — a healthcare collaboration platform that converges both standards and delivers the benefits of BPMN-on-FHIR.
We use the Camunda engine to execute process models and translate ongoing events and tasks directly into the right FHIR resources. On top of that, we’ve built a custom TaskList app — a hybrid of task management and collaboration tools for medical teams working on shared processes.
For the user, it feels like WhatsApp or Telegram: each chat thread represents a business process where you can fill in forms, complete tasks, preview medical images, upload files, and more.
We’ve also introduced what we call DynamicMessages — chat messages that display real-time data such as patient vitals or geospatial updates.

You can try it out on our beta demo server (login: test, pass: 123) :demo

If you’re in healthcare and this resonates with you, please PM us or mail to: lt@yme.rocks. We’re looking for like-minded people to help bring BPMN into healthcare more widely. And since our storage and API are based on FHIR, integration with other systems should be more or less straightforward.
