Hello, I highly recommend to use the latest live version when you start out.
Camunda still gets new important features added (like process instance migration).

As long as there are no dealbreaking “known limitations” in the Announcements | Camunda 8 Docs I dont see a reason to use an older version.

8.5. is the latest minor Version out since 9th april.
