I noticed that the Camunda Certified Professional – Developer exam blueprint has been updated with new candidate requirements and exam topics aligned to Camunda 8.8. The published release date for this updated blueprint is 31 March 2026.
If a candidate is scheduled to take the exam between 26 February 2026 and 31 March 2026, will the exam already include questions based on Camunda 8.8?
Or will the exam continue to follow the previous blueprint until the official release date?
Could someone from the certification team or the community please confirm which exam version applies during this transition period?
The Camunda Certified Professional – Developer exam is indeed getting aligned with Camunda 8.8 starting April 1st, hence the new blueprint.
All the exams taken between now and March 31st will be on the current/older version of the exam and will not include the updated/added questions specifically based on Camunda 8.8.
Between 26 February 2026 and 31 March 2026, the Camunda Certified Professional – Developer exam will still follow the previous blueprint. The updated blueprint aligned to Camunda 8.8 only takes effect starting 31 March 2026, which is the official release date. So if you sit the exam before that date, you won’t encounter Camunda 8.8–specific questions; those will be introduced once the new blueprint is live.
