Executed Activity Instances metric increases twice for each process instance

Hello everyone,

I’m having an issue with the “Executed Activity Instances” metric in Camunda. Every time I start a new process instance or complete a task, the “evaluated” and “ended” values in the metric increase by two units, even though there are no loops in the process definition and the task is executed only once.

I’ve checked the process definition and task configuration, and everything seems to be correct. There are no duplicate listeners or events that could be causing the task to be executed twice, and there are no parallel gateways in the process definition.

I’m not sure what else could be causing this issue, and I’m hoping that someone in the community has encountered a similar problem and can offer some advice or guidance.

Here are some details about my environment:

Camunda version: [iv7.17.2]

I’ve also checked the process engine configuration to ensure that there are no misconfigurations that could be causing the issue.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
