Filter / Cockpit for incidents

Our BPMN refers to a number of external services through the External Task pattern. What’s a sustainable strategy to make failed tasks visible to support teams?

  • Is the Cockpit the right place to deal with failed jobs?

  • Is there any built-in support in the Cockpit?

  • Can one send a notification when a job failed?


Hi Edmondo,

when an external task fails and reaches the retry limit then the engine creates an incident. You can see this incident in cockpit.

Additional information about external tasks are currently not available. There is a feature request to extend the cockpit: CAM-5699.
