Filter Permission does not work for groups

as an admin i followed these steps

  1. logged in as admin
  2. create a dummy user, X
  3. create a dummy group, G
  4. assigned X to G
  5. assigned user X ‘ALL’ authorizations of application (*)
  6. created dummy filter F and assigned it to group G

after this when i logged in as X, i am not seeing the filter in tasklist
but in step 6 if i assign filter F to X directly instead of group G then im able to see the filter?
Why is filter permissions not working when assigned to groups?

Please share the screenshots may be something is missing. ideally it should work and it works for me.

Yeah, i figured out the issue, it was to do with something in my code itself, my bad.

want to remove this question as its no longer valid, but i guess i dont have the permission to delete it
