How to set the variable path.repo for Elasticsearch 8 repository?

To create a repository for snapshots in Elasticsearch 8.12.2 I need to set the variable “path.repo”. But Elasticsearch pod doesnt accept . in a variable name. I use Helm Chart Camunda 8.5.0. How to create a repository for snapshot in Elasticsearch? In Camunda 8.2 and Elasticsearch 7 everything worked, but in new version doesnt work.
