How to use Bearer Token Authorization or send http headers in Soap Connector

I am trying to use soap connector in camunda 8.8
and when trying to use authentication, I couldn’t find Bearer Token in the authentication drop down

so I tried in the soap header drop down to use xml compitable json

as follows:

{“Authorization”:“Bearer myaccesstokenhere”}
but it still gives me unauthorized error.

Looking at the connector code on github, I couldn’t find any way to send http headers in the soap connector, can you please advise on that.

@zee-bot @nathan.loding Do you have any advice on this issue?

@devmsaleh - I don’t think the SOAP connector supports bearer tokens at this time. The SOAP header is part of the SOAP envelope itself, not part of the HTTP request. I would recommend opening a feature request on roadmap.camunda.com to support bearer tokens. In the meantime, you could fork the connector to support it; to support a bearer token, I think you only need to fork the element template, not the runtime logic (see an example here).
