Huge size of act_ge_bytearray table in production


We are seeing huge table size around 1000gb for act_ge_bytearray table. Can we clean it to have only data which is no older than last 10 days? Can we do it from camunda dashboard or any sql queries? Need urgent help as it is happening in production. Appreciate your time and thoughts.


You can have a look into the history clean up feature as a safe way of clearing out old data

If I have set history TTL at process engine level and each deployed process definition has its own history TTL, then which one precedes or considered for the history cleanup?

Iā€™m pretty sure the process definition would be taken into account first.

Is it possible to clear the history table along with ACT_GE_BYTEARRAY as soon as the process gets completed?
