Hello friends! As we continue to make improvements to the Camunda Community Hub, one such improvement is the addition of the dependency management tool Renovate to the Camunda Community Hub GitHub Organization.
This is currently an opt-in tool (meaning it is not enabled on every repo in the Community Hub, it must be enabled individually), and if you would like to enable it as an alternative to Dependabot/in conjunction with Dependabot in your repository, please open an issue in your repo, apply a waiting-for-camunda label and tag @celanthe on GitHub. [that’s me!]
If you have any questions about Renovate, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to answer any questions, and want to ensure that by having this tool be opt-in, maintainers understand what it means, its limitations, and its approach to dependency management and workflow configuration.
We are going to be putting together some documentation in the coming weeks that will explain in detail our approach to dependency management in the Camunda Community Hub, and would love to hear your thoughts on how you handle dependencies in your Community Hub projects.
As always, thank you for your contributions to Camunda! We look forward to the future of the Community Hub.
