Introducing Myself & GitHub Discussions on the Community Hub

Hello! I’m Mia (they/them) and I’m the new technical community builder at Camunda. You may have noticed my face here and there, but I wanted to do a formal introduction for those I haven’t met yet!

I joined in June and have been working on ramping up, learning more about the Camunda Community Hub, and planning projects. I’m here to help run the Camunda Community Hub and make sure everyone has the resources they need to make cool projects

I’ve made some documentation improvements to update the Community Hub after a year of its existence (:tada:) and after the Camunda Platform 8 launch. Hopefully, the instructions for onboarding members and projects to the Community Hub are clearer and easier to follow. Feedback and PRs welcome!

As part of my initial audit of the Camunda Community Hub, I noticed that folks were not typically using the forum’s Community Extensions category, so I opened GitHub Discussions for the organization as a whole. Use this to discuss extension ideas and get feedback from the community, show off what you’ve made, or ask questions. I’ll also be using it for announcements in an effort to keep as much information about the Camunda Community Hub on GitHub.

Thank you so much for being part of the Camunda community and I look forward to working with you! If you ever have any ideas for how the Camunda Community Hub experience can be improved, please reach out! I’d love to hear what you have to say.

Hi @miamoore ,

Welcome! I haven’t used GitHub Discussions before. It will be interesting to see what the meta discussion in the Community Hub might be.
