Migrating processes with embegged subprocess fails for unknown reason

I try ti migrate instances of this process definition to new version. The migration task in operate starts and finishes but the process instances remain on the old process definition version.
There are no not supported in current migration procedures object types in the BPMN (Process instance migration | Camunda 8 Docs).
I’m using the latest Camunda 8.5+gen8.

Maybe the always active timer intermediate event prevents it from migrating?
Is there a way to see migration error messages like it used to be in Camunda 7? It would be very helpfull.

Simple process definitions migrate just fine.

Hi, have you checked if the timer expressions are supported in C8. As far as I know there are less time expressions supported, but they are coming, but maybe there are there already, just giving you a wild input so you can check.
