Multiple attempts to contact user and clear flowchart

Hi all, as a practice I’m trying to map a process where a user’s contract for a mobile phone terminates. The user is asked to send the device back to a third-party. The third party will do the intake of the device, check’s if all is included and activation lock is removed. If there is something wrong, the third party will try to contact the end-user 3 times. If they don’t succeed they will escalate to the users manager, who will then tries 3 times to contact the user. For this exercise I wanted to use event messages as much as possible.

The issue I have is that for the managers escalation and the contact user task, I cannot create a connection between the task and enquiry received start event in the event sub process in the users lane. Should I create a ne sub process for that second call do by the manager ? Same questions will be asked.

If someone can simplify my flowchart, help is appreciated because I feel it’s cluttering
