Oracle not shrinking after HistoryCleanup

Hi there,

I have Camunda 7 running with HistoryLevel AUDIT. After running for several Month the OracleDB increases to 300GB of used space. And I decided to activate HistoryCleanUp.

The CleanUp Process deleted 10 Million Process Instances. 1.2 Million Instances are currently remaining. But my Oracle DBA tells me the OracleDB is not shrinking.

Should we do a special reorg on the DB? Why is the DB not shrinking?

That seems odd.
The history cleanup runs in batches, so perhaps it’s not finished.
Also it only cleans up processes that are finished. If you’ve got a lot of running processes, they won’t be affected.
