I use BPMN strictly for flowcharting my processes (converted to a PNG and pasted into a document). Every one of my flowcharts has the following reported problem is reported in the panel… “A must have a defined ”. I use Camunda Platform 7.19.
Is this really an issue? If so, how do I resolve it?
Hello my friend!
I don’t know what it is, but probably the error is because your Camunda modeler is waiting for some kind of implantation of some element.
As you only need it for modeling and documentation purposes, and does not require the need to define and deploy the task, I suggest you use bpmn.io, do you know?
It’s very practical and fantastic.
I hope this helps!

Hi @CarolynJones1930,
if you talk about the A <Process> must have a defined <History time to live>
message, you can ignore it for documentation process models. Or simply add a number in the field.
As many projects suffer from too large databases for their automated processes, we try to enforce the history cleanup with this rule in the modeler.
Although additional settings in the process engine are required to activate history cleanup, the journey starts in that field.
Hope this helps, Ingo
