I’m excited to start working with the Camunda BPMN modeler as one of the more user friendly out there.
As I created a few processes already, I seem to hit the “Export to PNG” button a lot, downloading a file, opening it, copying it to clipboard and then pasting it into my Word/PowerPoint to present with richer annotations and context.
It would be so much better if I could just CTRL+C or hit a link/button “Copy to clipboard” and have that same PNG image information ready to paste into any application that accepts images.
Anyone else interested in this? (or did I miss something in the modeler? :-))
Thats quite interesting, i’d never considered using copy/paste for that.
Mainly because when I use the copy function i’m doing it so that i can paste the symbols somewhere else in the model or in a different model.
It might be hard to change the current functionalitiy to facilitate the copying to an image.
Hi Niall, thanks for your feedback.
I’m not asking for the copy/paste functionality to change, just to add an extra option “copy to clipboard”. Something like:
My current workaround is to use the “Image Capture” application from my OS (Specifically Windows Sniptool, but similar has to exist for Mac)… It creates a PNG of the selected area and copies it to the clipboard, ready to paste into Word / Messenger / email …
