Rest Api vs graphql Api

Hi Team,
When I tried to understand Camunda 8 from below blogs, Its mentioned graphql was introduced to overcome the issues as “under-fetching and over-fetching” because it was available in REST API’s.
But again now in the note I see that in the same blog mentioned that, graphql is going to deprecated and REST API’s are going to replace it.

Now my question is why this was not done earlier or really why again we are changing from graphql to REST Api’s .
Can someone help me to understand this please ?

Hi @vinothkumar,

many developers were struggling to adopt the new GraphQL API, so we decided to move further with the REST API.

As you said, GraphQL has its benefits, but another technology is hard to learn and the features are not this important for every use case.
