Restarting workflow instance in new version

Is there any option of restarting a workflow instance in the newest or specified workflow version?

In some cases where an incident is raised, the fix requires that the existing workflow is modified. This creates a new workflow version but then I am not sure how can I restart/resume the job in the updated workflow. I end up with an incident that cannot be resolved.

No, there is not. You’ll have to cancel the workflow instance and create a new one.
