Say hello to Zee-bot - the chatbot for the Camunda forum [poll]

Hi! I like to introduce @zee-bot. Zee is a chatbot for the Camunda forum. Zee’s mission is to help the community by answering forum questions in the “Camunda 8 Topics” category. :robot:

We built the chatbot in our Camunda Hack Days as an experiment. For the past four weeks, Zee has been active in the forum. It’s time to evaluate Zee’s performance and to collect your feedback.

How do you like the bot? Should we keep or remove the bot?

  • I like the bot and want to keep it.
  • I see some value in the bot. However, we should tweak it.
  • I don’t like the bot. Let’s remove it.
  • I’m not sure about the bot.
  • I haven’t interacted with the bot yet.

Technical details: The chatbot is based on the AI Email Support Agent blueprint and showcases Camunda’s new Agentic orchestration capabilities. The interaction with the chatbot is modelled in BPMN using the AI connector and an ad-hoc sub-process. The process runs in our Camunda SaaS environment. You can find the sources in the GitHub project.

For what I have seen since it was introduced (I usually check the answers out of curiosity) it has been quite effective. Having an automated tool will definitely help users getting answers faster.

My only reservation is due to a personal preference, so it is not really that relevant: I don’t like bots that “talk” as if they were people. Comes out creepy.

Updates
We adjusted the behavior of @zee-bot to be less distracting:

  • Zee waits 24 hours before sending a first response to a new topic to give the community the chance to respond. If you want an intermediate answer, mention @zee-bot in the post.
  • Zee leaves a topic if another user sends a reply.
  • Zee doesn’t write a summary for short topics (< 15 replies).

Stay tuned. :robot:

The delay to respond is a great idea - Zee was a legit quick draw!

Also it, removes the incentive of using Zee as a personal ChatGPT to avoid reading documentation.

About this change:

Zee leaves a topic if another user sends a reply.

It is another good one, but it may drop Zee when somebody just asks a follow up question. It would be nice to have a way to bring Zee back into the discussion after a period and/or by tagging it.

Good point. :+1: I will try to adjust Zee to enter a topic (again) by mentioning the bot.
