Support for mysql 8.0.12

Can someone confirm whether camunda will work on mysql 8.0.12, the supported version link in the camunda.org says mysql 5.6 which is pretty old. Is support for 8.0.12 expected any sooner ?

MySql support for higher version is not planned for now.

You can find the complete list of supported DBs here in the docs. Right now, it doesn’t look like there’ll be support past 5.7

What can go wrong if we use the latest mysql version?

Probably Nothing.
Or everything could break.
But thats unlikely.
